Proof of Insurance required on all permit and license plate purchases and renewals
VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Inspections required on all vehicles purchased out of state or with out of state titles. Inspections are done by Colorado law enforcement agencies

Marriage License |

Both Bride and Groom should come to office at same time to apply for marriage license.
Proof of age and Social Security number are required.
If either party is under the age of 18 or both parties cannot come in, contact the office for
additional information.
License must be used within 30 days of purchase.
Marriage must take place in Colorado.
After marriage, license must be returned to Rio Grande County Clerk’s office within 60 days.
After certificate is recorded, newlyweds will receive original certificate and certified copies of application and certificate at no additional cost.
