Colorado Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network and EPA Cybersecurity Tabletop Exercise
|

About this exercise:
The CoWARN steering committee is partnering with EPA’s Water Infrastructure and Cyber Resilience Division to offer a Cybersecurity Overview and Tabletop Exercise for Water and Wastewater Utilities.
The Cybersecurity Overview will cover:
- Information on EPA’s Memorandum, “Addressing PWS Cybersecurity in Sanitary Surveys or an Alternate Process”
- EPA resources available to help water and wastewater utilities improve cybersecurity resilience
- Common cybersecurity threats against the water sector
- Basic cyber hygiene practices
- CISA cybersecurity resources
- Building a relationship with the FBI
- Colorado specific resources and cyber reporting requirements
The Tabletop Exercise will feature a cyber incident scenario to allow drinking water and wastewater utility staff to:
- Assess their cyber response practices
- Identify ways to improve their cybersecurity posture
- Engage with cybersecurity experts from EPA, CISA, and the FBI to receive guidance and recommendations to enhance cybersecurity practices

Rocky Mountain Section AWWA (RMSAWWA) - Action Now Seminars for 2023

About this seminars:
Action Now seminars are geared toward providing water industry personnel with current information and training addressing relevant issues in the water industry. They also provide an excellent opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and problem-solve with fellow associates. CO Certification Training Units (TU's) for attending this program will be issued on the CCWP Portal after the completion of this seminar. 0.65 TUs are offered for this seminar – pending approval by CCWP. Topics are subject to change: PRV’s and Control Valves, Mandatory Regulatory Training, Fluoride in drinking water, Seals – Pumps and Motors, Pipe construction and tapping, sanitary survey prep, and lead and copper rule revision.
