The Water Quality Control Division is starting a stakeholder process in November 2023 to review past updates and establish a new sediment region in Policy 98-1: Implementation Guidance for Determining Sediment Deposition Impacts to Aquatic Life in Rivers and Streams (“Sediment Guidance”).
The division invites anyone interested to join large-group stakeholder meetings. The first stakeholder meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The division invites anyone interested in technical discussions related to Policy 98-1 to join a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). The first TAC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. The division plans to hold a second TAC meeting in April 2024 and a final large-group stakeholder meeting in June 2024. Meeting materials will be made available in this public folder.

Prior to the scheduled meetings, the division asks that stakeholders fill out this feedback form. The division would like to know if stakeholders have any specific issues or areas of focus that they believe are most important to address in Policy 98-1.
