Sign up early before funding is gone

The Water Quality Control Division (division) is partnering with a dedicated technical assistance provider to help public water systems with all aspects of the service line inventory and lead service line replacement planning process. Water systems can request remote support or hands-on assistance. The division is offering these services at no cost to water suppliers serving 15,000 people or fewer until our funding is depleted.

For more context, please visit the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions website. All community and non-transient, non-community water systems must develop a service line inventory to identify the materials of service lines connected to the public water distribution system. If one or more lead, galvanized requiring replacement, or lead status unknown service lines are identified in their distribution system, systems must submit a lead service line replacement (LSLR) plan. Both documents must be submitted by October 16, 2024.

Please note the division has selected only one contractor to provide no-cost technical assistance and support to eligible water systems. The division will not reimburse for the costs of hiring outside contractors.
